John Giannini's first vintage as winemaker for Mount Veeder Winery arrives as the winery marks its 50th anniversary, and the 2023 growing season provided a classic introduction. Rosenquist Cabernet Sauvignon (92%) and North Ranch Merlot (8%) yield a deep purple wine with aromas of fresh blackberry, currant, dried sage, and crushed rock. Integrated tannins and lively acidity carry a long, graceful finish that speaks to both structure and place. Generous today, yet destined to evolve beautifully with time.

The palate is balanced and refined, with layers of dark fruit, integrated tannins, and lively acidity. The long, gentle ripening season helped shape this wine of elegance and structure, finishing with length, complexity, and a distinct sense of place.
